Our focus these two weeks is on the Pesach story. Because the story is lengthy and often challenging, we enjoy using puppets, songs, dramatic play, stories, games and different daily activities to reinforce the portion of the story we are focusing on that day. Because many parts of the Pesach story are too intense for young children, your child will learn only an overview of the story. For example, instead of teaching the children all the details of the 10 plagues, we talk about the frogs in a silly way and tell them that Hashem said he would make 10 things happen that the Egyptians wouldn’t like- if King Paroh (Pharoh) would not let the Jewish People leave Egypt (Mitzrayim).
