This week we have been learning about different insects we see during spring and summer. We used our fingerprint to make many colorful insects . We worked on naming some insects like caterpillars, butterflies, ladybugs bees and ants.
We made caterpillars by gluing circles together on paper. We counted how many circles we used to make our caterpillars
We read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar and learned how caterpillars turn into butterflies. We used coffee filters and pipe cleaners to make beautiful butterflies

Israel, the love of Israel and the connection we have as Jews to our homeland is reinforced daily at JPS. We live and experience Israel and Judaism daily as we use Hebrew words and Hebrew names, as we pray to Hashem and listen to Hebrew and Israeli music. This week we boarded our Jewish airplane – El Al – and flew to Israel together. We celebrated I Love Israel Day as we took a trip to the holiest place in the world for Jewish people – the Kotel Wall – the last remaining wall of the Holy Temple.
