Morah Jayme’s Jottings
Israel, the love of Israel and the connection we have as Jews to our homeland is reinforced daily at JPS. We live and experience Israel and Judaism daily as we use Hebrew words and Hebrew names, as we pray to Hashem and listen to Hebrew and Israeli music. This week we boarded our Jewish airplane – El Al – and flew to Israel together. We celebrated I Love Israel Day as we took a trip around Israel. We prayed at the Kotel Wall – the holiest place in the world for Jewish people and the last remaining wall of the Holy Temple. We enjoyed Israeli dancing in Tel-Aviv and made beautiful art in Tzfat and had story time in Avraham and Sarah’s tent and gave water to the thirsty camels in Beer Sheva.
